What is the best GPU for my Gateway DX4850?

CPU : Intel core i5-2300
2.80 GHz
6.00 GB Ram
I just bought it today for 130. Don't know much about pcs, but want to start getting into pc gaming.

Power supply? Motherboard? Something like a GTX 1050 ti would be a decent fit assuming your power supply is up to the task and your motherboard has an open PCIE x16 slot and it will physically fit in your case.

from the I5-2300 it might be a Gateway DX4850-25u , but waiting for you to confirm information's I requested.

I'm not sure, but i believe it still has the original psu at 300 watts.

Yes, this is the desktop. All it says is DX4850 but that is it

looks like 300W PSU and PCIE x16 Slot for video card.

what is your budget for the new video card ?, and take in consideration depending on needs (for gaming) your video card will force you to upgrade the PSu as well, as it stands your 300W PSu limits you to a GT1030 video card at best

I have 249 dollars left from when i bought the pc, so i guess 200 something

and would not require a pcie connector not a changeover of PSu . (recommended 300w from evga)
