What is the best GTX 980 Card?

So I was going to get a 970 sli, but then I decided to get a single 980 card, and then probably upgrade it later to sli? I still haven't bought the computer but I need help in this .
Give me your opinion (or fact) whatever it is, I hope its the best running one.

Asus Strix GTX980-DC2OC Fans aren't running unless it's needed , and most of the time it doesn't even when gaming. And when it does , you can Barely Hear it.

What makes the 980 Classified version better than the standard EVGA GTX 980 version? There is about a $150 price difference. Is it worth it for a 1080p monitor?

for 1080p buy the cheapest gtx 980, but from a trusted brand. like msi, gigabyte, evga. chose the cheapest. there is no difference in performance

note that your decision to go for a single 980 instead of 970 sli is very good. i did the same and i'm very happy iwth my 980. i have the gigabyte wf3 oc version. it is a beast. it maxes every game 60fps+
