What is the best I can do?

I have an AMD T-Bird 1.13 @ 266MHz. I want to know how fast I should be able to reliably over clock it. I don't want to mess with the PCI/AGP bus too much because I think it will mess with my network card too much. However, I do want to know how fast I might be able to go just by altering the mulitplier.

Here are my system specs:
Abit KT7A-Raid
AMD 1.13 @ 266
128MB of PC133 (soon to be 256MB)
ATI Radeon 32MB DDR
Sound Blaster Live! Value
Kingston KNE111TX Network Card

Right now the system is not overclocked at all. I only have a 250 watt powersupply and I will soon be upgrading that to at least a 300 watt. I have a Cooler Master DP5-6G11 heatsink and fan. I am willing to buy Thermal Compound if I need to. I already have two case fans.

Just for additional information, here are the specs of my processor:

Let me know how far you think I could go.

Definitely need a better PSU before you start. I'd recommend higher than that, but a good brand 300w will probably do ok for you.

checkout <A HREF="http://www.athlonoc.com" target="_new">http://www.athlonoc.com</A> they say 1133 AXIAs dont get too farther than 1400, so better cooling and a bit of FSB overclocking would do better.

I'd suggest you go for a FSB of 145 MHz if you are too worried about, your PC133 should work well at that, and the multiplier of 9.5 that will give you 1377 MHz but even a multiplier of 10 (1450 MHz) should work well. this 145 MHZ FSB wont harm your PCI and AGP but do check it out.

your coolermaster HSF is okay I have the same one on my Duron 600@800 (just put the FSB to 133, dint have anything to close the bridges )

if you go farther that will require even better cooling and will need to increase the core voltage which again, you might not opt for.

and if you are doing anything of this, make sure you have a new 300W PS before you do it.
