Hi there,

Looking to update my keyboard from my original packard bell keyboard to something much, much nicer....

Have been looking at:

auravision eluminX Illuminated Keyboard

Hiper alloy keyboard

saitek eclipse....

Just wondering if anyone has any experience with either of the three? or any reccommendations...? Seems hard to find a full comparitive review of keyboards, and yet they're probably one of the most used peripherals around.

Basically, to summarise my needs, i'm looking for a UK QWERTY layout board, don't mind if it's wired, would like it to be thin, and backlit keys are an added bonus... (as long as you can turn the lights off)....

Any help would be much appreciated,

Cheers,

Daz.

thanks, but it is VERY expensive...

any chance at one that's of a high quality, but doesn't cost too much...?

Thanks for the help guys...

Ok,

well the one i got from eBuyer seemed ok at first.

But it's really a load of crap. letters stopped working. Capital S didn't work from the start, and now w and x don't work. Very frustrating.

Hiper seem to have no customer service to top it off.

This is definately being returned.

It does look nice though!

Have you thought about something a little easier on your body than the traditional keyboard style? I've been using a Kinesis Contoured keyboard for about six years and I love it. If you look at the design of this thing it just makes sense. Here's a descriptive page at Kinesis: http://www.kinesis-ergo.com/benefits.htm . Yes it's expensive but I feel my hands are worth it. I think they have refurbished units at better prices on their online store.
