what is the best memory i can get for this old desktop?

i have an old Et1810-o3r that can utilize up to 4gb i believe total. hardly worth any upgrades except its my dads computer so no new computer in sight.


i need x2 2Gb 2Rx8 pc2 6400u

but all i can find are crucial and some expensive $100 one on new egg

According to the specs, the system comes with a 2 gig and a 1 gig stick. You just need to buy one 2 gig stick to get 4 gig RAM.

Or better yet, suggest to your dad that instead of spending money on the RAM, sell the current system and use that money and the RAM money with maybe $50 more on a faster used system.

eMachines use the lowest end parts, the power supply and motherboards in them fail a lot.
