Hello guys,

I wanted help with building a non gaming and a non graphic pc.

The main purpose for the PC is to be very fast and smooth in doing processes and to handle MS programs very fast, also the ability to surf the internet fast and smoothly. that is it, fast smooth and lagless pc.

I dont really now the good budget for this kind of pcs , take in note that I dont want to get the cheapes parts just to pay less, i also want quality and performance, meaning if there is a part that is a little bit expensive but is worth it alot in my case then no problem, but not much expensive. I think 900$ is good for the case only, please not that I will get a 27 inch 1080p monitor separatly.

For general PC use like internet, office, music, and movies, you don't need much. However if you want speed and quality here are some things to look for.

Make sure you get a good case and power supply. A good case will look good, be easy to work on, convenient to move around and place on a desk, etc... You can get some beautiful mini atx cases for under $75. Next you want a quality power supply. They are just reliable and work. Cheap power supplies can give inferior power and cause reliability issues with the PC.

Other than that an SSD hard drive is key. That is what is going to speed up your entire experience. A Samsung EVO or Crucial SSD are decently priced and reliable. For general PC use you don't need much capacity so...

For general PC use you don't need much capacity so a 256GB might be enough. If you plan on storing a bit of music or some movies on the hard drive maybe consider going up to 512GB. If you are going to have lots of music or video then stick with a 256GB SSD and get a secondary storage drive over 1TB.

Other than that 8GB of RAM and your standard CPU, and a motherboard. An Intel I3 would be plenty for general use or the equivalent AMD Ryzen. If you plan on doing lots of rendering or encoding like Photoshop, CAD, or converting movies to .MKV then consider upping the CPU to an I5.

As for the motherboard just get your basic micro ATX board if you get a micro ATX case and stick to a reliable brand. Asus is my go to default for reliability.

For your monitor consider a 1440p monitor at 27". It will give you more real estate and you can see more on the screen.
