What is the best Sound Card?

I'm currently looking for a sound card to buy for my pc, I'm looking at the Titanium Fatal1ty Champion Edition, Sound Blaster Z or the Asus D2X.

What will be best for use with a headset for gaming?, I want to be able to here surround audio better as at the moment my realtek on-board audio is useless.

You probably won't hear a huge difference in cards at the price range you are looking at since they are all good cards. You might also consider getting a surround virtualization driver such as Razer Surround.

I would go with the Soundblaster Z.

Soundblaster Z - dunno where u are - but amazon UK has a good price at £49 for OEM without the beam mike and £66 with it. Very happy with the OEM upgraded from Creative 5.1 X-Fi gamer.

I can't recommend the D2X; its always been sandwiched price wise. Of the cards listed, the D2X wins over the Z, but I'd recommend the Phoebus or Xense over the D2X in a heartbeat.
