Question What is the best triple 15.6” 1080p 60hz screen?

I have seen a lot of diy laptop monitors and I want to make myself a triple set up that can still fit in my back pack. There are some generic screen controllers with a single HDMI plug, 12v power jack, and audio jack that claim to be rated for 1080p and 60hz so I will get three of these but the info on laptop screens is very scarce. I want to buy these screens on amazon because of how fragile they are and because I can return bad ones easily but most of them do not list if they are IPS or what refresh rate they run at. It almost makes me wonder if these screens refresh rate is not predetermined at manufacturing for example if I paired a 120hz or 144hz screen controller with a generic 1080p laptop screen would I get those high refresh rates even if they are not stated by the screen or should I assume any screen not claiming to run at 60hz is running at 30hz? Also, fun question, is there a documented attempt of some madman trying to overclock these controllers? Lol

Basically my budget is looking like 3x$10 screen controllers from aliexpress and 3x$39 some generic 15.6”1080p matte screens on amazon... I’m thinking this is pretty lowball cheap without dumpster diving. Anyone know of any specific screen SKU’s worth paying attention to or will guarantee IPS screen types? Are all these screens essentially the same except for slight horizontal/vertical dimension differences?

Even if you were to work with one 15.6" laptop monitor/screen/panel, I'd advise against that since you plan to stow it away in your backpack. The last time I saw someone do that he took out a shattered/damaged screen out of his backpack. Adding protection around the screen will also be moot since it'll add bulk to the screen and negate the possibility of carrying it in your backpack. This is all with one panel. I'm curious to learn how you're going to manage a triple panel setup.

Mind also sharing a link to the controllers you're looking at as well as the screens?

Another screen I am looking at 1080p 15.6" IPS but says I could get Matte or Glossy so I will have to just make it clear to the seller I only want Matte, no refresh rate listed again so I am guessing this is purely controlled by the controller?

Youtube video of DIY perks making a monitor with a simple aluminum sheet for support, I will be fitting the controller inside the pc like an SSD to save on space and doing away with the battery since I won't need it.

I'll be building something like this without a battery and water cooled with custom blocks to really save on internal space, I have built water loops for a CNC mill and laser so building a loop for a pc should be a piece of cake.

I don't know if you have heard of the compulab airtop 3 but I hope this picture gives a good idea of how the machine's radiators will look. I will be adding some mechanical wizardry in for good measure to handle clearances and air flow.

Sliding tripple screen setup with some 3D printed rails, this is a bit more bulky than what I have planned but it's good enough for a general idea.

By my current drawings the machine should be no more wider or deeper than a normal 15.6" laptop and as thick as a sentry 2.0. As for protection for the LCD panels, the aluminum sheets should keep them safe, not sure how else apple and other laptop builders get away with such thin laptops otherwise.
