[SOLVED] What is the best used GPU around $500 I can get?

I'l looking for a GPU. I'm ok with used ones. My budget is $500. Thank a lot.

Used prices vary a lot based on where you are. Your best bet is to just look around until you find a listing for a good GPU that doesnt look sketchy. Used GPUs, especially around the shortage (which appears to be ending), can be very risky.

I would go for 6700 level card at that price, if you can find it. I feel like both of the links provided by @Eximo are a good reference. Between the two I would pick the MSI based on my own experience with the manufacturers.

I am skeptical that a 3060 can actually utilize all that RAM though....

I would go new like these...Or at the bottom..
If you can find an RTX 3060TI even if a bit more, I would get that. currently around $579 on newegg but well worth it over the 3060 as it is a fair bit better in every way. Or the RX 6700 XT which is down to $528!!! I am sure if you do a bit more searching in the US you will find them maybe a bit cheaper as I am searching from the UK. But really the 3060TI or 6700XT are the best choices and will see you all the way to 1440p high refresh and both highly rated!

Used you are looking at the RTX 2080 Super at best for around $500 which is overpriced! I still would go the 3060TI or 6700XT!

Why is it risky to buy used GPU?

You never know how it was treated. It could be broken, fake, or used so heavily, like mining, it doesnt perform well anymore, though that does take a long time. If you can buy a used GPU with a guarantee, and/or the ability to return for a full refund, then it should be fine. If something goes wrong on a GPU without any warranty, then you are out whatever it cost you.

I would recommend spending the extra $30ish and get a 6700xt new.
