I think Im having troble to decide which card to buy. I got $450 USD for budget and I really need hope on which one to choice.

I personally want the EVGA GTX 670 FTW+ 4gb($450), but its seems not the best choice... a lot people saying that in this price, HD 7970 would be better, can you guys give me some suggestion and list the reason why its better? thanks

If you overclock it, yes. But it draws more power than both of those cards.

If your PSU is up for it, and you're planning on overclocking your GPU, go with the HD 7970. If you have a weaker PSU, and you like the Nvidia features like TXAA, SSAO injection, Adaptive Vsync, and PhysX support - go for a GTX 680.

4GB VRAM is not needed for 1080p gaming - what are the rest of your specs including the games you want to play?

gtx 680 is not worthwile as it is just 5% faster than gtx 670 + big price gap.if op want nvidia then he should get gtx 670 or fastest gpu then hd 7970ghz edi.both 670 and hd 7970 can easily handle games

Hi bro. Thanks for the help.
My computer : intel i7 3770k, asus v-le, corsair veng 16g, intel 520 serious 120g ssd+seagate 1tb hdd, 850 psu cooler master m2 silent pro silver, and cooler master haf x full tower

My point is like all new games in ultra mode, and my favor is skyrim. I heared that in some situation that this game will take up to 2.5g video memory that's why I'm planning get a card that have more than 2g video ram

ashish65 said, gtx 680 has a really low increase compare to gtx 670 but $100 dollars more, I do think its not worth

I paid under 400 for my 7970. It was only at stock speeds, (925MHz) but its easy OC and I now can surpass the GHz edition with little effort. In my opinion, buying the cheaper stock speed then OC it is the best option.

Thanks. And do you have any suggestion of a HD 7970 ghz around $450?

Btw. Is evga gtx 670 ftw+ better than hd 7970ghz without OC?

You should definitely get the GHz Edition whether you're planning to overclock it or not. These cards are tested running stable at higher core frequency and as such they will usually overclock slightly better.

I would recommend Sapphire Vapor-X 7970 3Gb GHz Edition. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814202001

Going for the gtx 680 is not good advice its way to overpriced for the performance you get.7950/gtx 670 i personally think even the 7970 is overpriced when you can get a 7950 for $100 and only 5% slower when both are overclocked to max

680 to 670 performance diferrence is low but it realy comes down to what kind of user you are, if you want the extra performance even if its low 680 is better. I cant top 1100 GPU score where as 680 helps me 1100+ but it also depends on the silicon lotery

AMD has improved their driver performance recently so their 7xxx series looking much better than before against the Nvidia

What do you think of HD 7970 Twin frozer or Gigabyte tri slot cooler?

Of course but you can still clock the GHz Edition higher than you can standard OC model...

Not necessarily. The OC version is capped just the same as the regular. The regular just needs different software to be unlocked which can be found anywhere on the web.
