Hi everyone

I am building my ryzen 5 rig as below, my budget is about 800 AUD

Main: B450 tomahawk / or B450 bazooka
CPU: ryzen 5 2600
RAM: 16GB (8GBx2) set Gskills Trident Z RBG 3000
HDD: 256GB SSD + 2x 2TB 7200rpm HDD
Case: i am not sure yet. any good ventilation mid towel
PSU: RM750
Graphic: Asus RX 580 4GB
CPU cooler: Thermatake extreme water 3.0
OS: windows 10 PRO N 64bit

My question is. should i build 4x of 4GB RAM or 2x of 8GB RAM and why ? can someone please explain what's the difference for both build.

and also is there any good case not too fancy expensive that you can please recommend to me ?

And also please give me some review on the 2 mother board that i chose if you have used it before. thanks heaps guys

Solution
Well try and get it sold for as much as you can do you can have as much money as possible to go towards the new stuff.

I chose the ram because it'll get the job done and while not that pretty, is more affordable.
And I chose the cooler because again, it'll get the job done but costs less than the thermaltake. And it has rgb which is a nice bonus.

I chose the motherboard for the same reasons, gets the job done and costs less.

And I chose the case because it's a wonderful case that cuts out the extra crap to leave plenty of room inside for everything while being smaller than most mid towers and of course has that beautiful side panel to show off the components and rgb of the cooler. And lastly because it has a full mesh front for...
Can't really tell you what case to get since we don't know your budget or what country you are in.

Also, never get an N version of Windows..... EVER.
You can install Windows 10 pro completely free and use it completely free. Only difference between free and paid is free has a watermark in the bottom right corner saying it's not activated yet.

And you can't use desktop personalization.
But you can still download a picture then right click it and set as background.

I would personally get the tomahawk over the bazooka.

2x8 is fine and usually cheaper than 4x4.

Unless the 580 4gb is definitely cheaper than a 1060 6gb, then get a 1060 6gb.

Your choice of PSU is solid.
Depending on where you live could be a cheaper option out there.

I have no idea what 2x2GB HDD is. Did you mean to say 2x2TB for a total of 4TB?

Thanks. i am in australia. there are a few case model that are not available to get here, i already have the psu with me. my current build is

AMD FX6350
16GB ddr3 RAM
ASROCK extreme 3 mother board
ASUS RX 580 4GB
RM 750 PSU

so i am just buying a new case, new CPU , mother board. RAM and CPU cooler, i used the VS650 PSU before but it died on me after 5 years. so i off bought the 750 for the update.

I am using the mid tower cooler master. can't remember which model anymore but i am not happy withe space i have left, it's very tight and i had to install extra side fan for ventilation. my noctua cpu cooler after 4 years is now making terrible noise when gaming.

for the RX 580 over the GTX 1060 6GB i made some research about this already. the GTX 1060 6GB is much more expensive and technically speaking only a few percent more powerful than my 4GB RX 580. what i need is a good CPU to boost up. my current CPU is a sand bag. drag everything down. i only spent 245 AUD for my RX 580 on a promotion sale

Again, not really giving us a budget, so I'll just recommend what I personally have for a pc case which is the Meshify C TG.

I've put everything together for you in pcpartpicker.

yeah sorry. because i am planning to sell my current rig

AMD FX6350 with the noctua CPU cooler
16GB ddr3 RAM
ASROCK extreme 3 mother board
The case with 120mm extra fan on side

I don't know why people recommend me the trident Z, i guess because of the light features, it is also the ram of the year but still i am not sure what makes it stood out from other brand without the light. but same specs. if they are really the same except the light. i would definitely go for the cheaper brand

I don't really care about how it looks. i am aiming for performance.

It comes with two fans, you can mount one to the back and one to the top of the case while mounting the aio to the front.

If your want more optimal air flow, you can purchase an additional case fan to put at the top to fill the space. The fan model is phanteks dynamic X2 GP-12 120mm.
It's $25
