So I bought the I7-8700k with the be-quiet Dark Rock Pro 3 cooler, during the Christmas sale at the end of last year with an extremely good deal. And I was wondering what’s Z370 board to go with?

I have heard good things from both the Asus Rog Z370-E and Z370-F, however as the price of both motherboards are really similar I was wondering what the difference was between them?

If anyone has got any other motherboard suggestions I would love to know?

Solution
AFAIK the Asus Z370-E vs F differences are:

a) "E" variant has wi-fi, and
b) "E" variant has a front panel connector (10Gbps USB header)... is that for a case with front USB3.0 Type C?
b) "E" is more white in color

May be other differences but I had the pages side-by-side and could not find any.

If prices are similar get the wi-fi model.

I prefer ASUS in general. I find the support in software at web page, fan control software and BIOS are great. Asrock may have similar stuff now but Asus hasn't let me down.

Okay, that is a front USB3.1 Gen2 connector for cases that support it.

Rather pointless since normal USB3.0/3.1 has very high bandwidth so unless you have some device that needs a USB3.1 Type C connection, and a case (or front panel adapter) that is connecting to this that way just uses the normal USB connection (Type A).

So whatever.

You also have the normal front panel USB3.0 connector output.
