What is the cause of this crash

I only really play Skyrim right now so this crash only happens when Im playing that, and I mod so I understand there are risks to accept which I do. I get a crash at least every hour so I just save often and just deal with it. But those crashes just freeze the game, this new crash freezes my entire system. Is my game running out of system memory or is my GPU on its last legs, I got it pre-owned so I'm not sure how old it is and I've had it for a few months now.

Run Prime95 blended stress test for 12 hours. If it doesn't make it the full 12 hours you've got a faulty RAM. 24 hours is considered "rock solid".

I'll give it a go but I'm pretty sure its the GPU now. I literally just crashed playing Resident Evil 2 Remake on recommended settings with motion blur off. I came back here to see if anyone answered my question. The crash message said the GPU stopped responding and I got the same pattern on the screen. But just the game crashed not my PC this time.
