I did a clean install of OS for my MSI GT 72 2QE Dominator Pro laptop with I7 4720 .But this deleted all drivers, firmware, utility that came with it.I downloaded these from the MSI website. Is there anything other than this that I have to Install? Also In What order must I install these 3?
What are the problems I may run into and what should I do to avoid it?

Thank you.

generally firmware updates should be installed when you install driver updates.
it depends on the bugs that the firmware fixes. Sometimes a bug is fixed in firmware and in the driver.

windows update will not install firmware for most machines and they will not install custom drivers for your motherboard.

most people don't do firmware updates until they can not figure out why something is not working.

you install windows, it provide default basic drivers for your hardware. Then you go to the motherboard vendors website and update the motherboard drivers. Then you update the motherboard BIOS. at this point you then do all of the windows updates, then reboot and install the GPU drivers from the GPU vendors website. (be sure to reboot since windows update will update base gpu drivers that don't get installed until after your reboot.) you don't want to run the GPU graphics setup and the Microsoft GPU setup during the same boot period.

At this point I would run my hardware tests to confirm everything is ok. Memtest86 to check the memory (depends on if I just got the hardware and need to test it before the return period expires)

Hey Thanks for replying! I went to a professional (In an Authorised MSI service centre) and he told me that it's not necessary to install any firmware considering I already installed windows.... Was he wrong? Because he did not seem to be very knowledgeable to be frank.

Thanks again
