What is the difference between a 6 Core CPU and an 8 Core CPU and graphics card opinion.

I was just wondering whether dropping my CPU from an 8 core
AMD AM3+ FX-8320 Eight Core 3.5GHz 8MB Cache 125W Black Edition CPU
to an
AMD AM3+ FX-6300 Six Core 3.5GHz 6MB Cache 95W Black Edition CPU

Would see any difference in performance in a new gaming PC?

And out of these cards which is the best:

The 270X is significantly faster than the others and the 240 is significantly slower. Why are 260, 260X, and 270 not in consideration?

World of Tanks, War Thunder, Team Fortress 2, Garry's mod.

No FPS' on PC apart from TF2 really because that's what i use console for.

In $, you pay $33 per module, so the 8320 makes sense if it is 33% better, since it is 33% more expensive.

I can not stress this enough. Intel.

If you're using your console for most first person shooters and intend to play simulation/RTS games on the PC, you'll be much better served with an Intel CPU.

An i3-4150 will produce ~50% higher FPS in WOT than any of the mainstream FX chips with turbo clocks ~4.1ghz.

The point that mdocod is making is that quite a few games use only a few threads/cores and are also heavy CPU users. For those games, the much greater power and efficiency of the Intel core over the AMD module means that Intel is far superior. Those benchmarks showed the real world performance.

The Intel chips in that comparison are less powerful than the current generation, so even i3s compete well in many cases.
