What is the difference between a i7 8770k and a I7 8770k with 12 thread

I'm going to be buying the aurora r7 1400$ config but I'm wondering if I should do the i7 8770k with the 12 thread upgrade? Aren't they the same? Is there a difference? If it's worth the 100$ I'll do it but If anyone can tell me the difference it would be greatly appreciated.

There is no such thing as an I7-8770K, they are called I7-8700K and have 6 cores with HT so they have 12 threads.
You ask questions about a specific build but provide no link so we can see what you are talking about.

That's really really cheeky of them, disingenuous borderline lying.

The 8700 and the 8700k are exactly the same with the expections that the k can be overclocked, and it has a slightly higher base speed.

Personally that would have me steering well clear.

The 460w stock PSU advertised as 'multi-gpu' is also appalling, and why is it included in the 'air cooling' section.

So is the psu fine? Sorry don't know much about computers you think this config will run fine?

Personally there are odd options there, 460 will be enough for one gpu, 850 is overkill for 2 GPU's.

The problem may occur if you want to upgrade anything in the future, if it were 550 I'd be happy that you've got the flexibility. It is shoddy cost cutting.
