[SOLVED] What is the difference between CPU cores and Graphics card cores?

I know that the Gpu has many hundreds or thousands of more cores, but how are the two different cores different or similar? Thanks

They differ a lot. These cores are highly specialized, with limited operations, so you can't run eg Windows on them - this is what CPU cores re for.
