[SOLVED] What is the difference between G sync/Free sync

So I'm about to buy a 144Hz monitor, but since Free sync is way cheaper, I will buy one of those instead, but I was thinking what will happen when I plug it in and start playing Siege? Will it flicker, ghost or anything else? (The monitor is not verified by Nvidia) It's an AOC 27Inch curved 144Hz

gsync costs more as it has extra calibrated hardware inside monitor and offers better quality than freesync
if its not verified then it may work or not

No damage will occur. It may work or it my have issues that impact gaming, some can be severe.

Only NVidia supports G-Sync. AMD supports Freesync but NVidia recently released drivers to run NVidia cards with Freesync but the results vary.

If you want a good 144hz monitor that is g-sync compatible, take a look at this list: https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/products/g-sync-monitors/specs/
Scroll down to the g sync compatible section and pick one from there. If you want aoc, I'd recommend that you buy the AOC G2590PX.
