what is the difference between Kingston HyperX blue, red, black and white

I see this memory advertised at widely ranging prices due to sales. The specs seem to be the same, so I wonder what the difference is between the different versions and whether or not I can mix them. I have blue, looking for more, but black is on sale. Any help?

Depends on the model, besides, not a good idea to mix DRAM from different packages, no guarantee they will play together, even if you more of the same identical model of DRAM, that's why they sell an abundance of different size packages, the sticks in a package have been tested and thus guaranteed to play nice

Generally the prices will vary between colors (assuming everything else is the same spec wise) because of popularity, basic economic supply/demand.
