What is the difference between the S1283,S1283V and the S1284?

I'm planning to upgrade my CPU Fan for my Phenom II 720x3 with one of the Xigmate coolers.

They all look the same and I was wondering what the differences were between them? My main preference is "sound". The quieter, the better.

The S1283 model is the cheapest.
The "V" model appears to push more air.
The S1284 is the newest version.

I can tell you this;
The 1284 is a 4 pipe version.

Ya the 1284 has heat pipes and the V or Dark knight has nickel plating and four LEDs in the fan.
The sound difference is not that difference and in frostytechs testing the s1283 ran cooler
