[SOLVED] What is the difference between these 2 LG monitors at 32" the 650G and the 850G

The 650G was released in 2018 apparently and is 144hz, 5ms, g-sync, 1440

The 850G was released in 2017 apparently and is 144hz, 5ms, g-sync, 1440

The 650G is 699.00 Cdn and the 860G is1099.00 CDN

Someone was saying you can OC the 850G to 165hz but does that justify almost twice the price? What am I missing here?

Do the additional offerings justify an additional 400 bones? I am building a better gaming rig. albeit the toughest games will probably be xwing squadrons on the card/monitor. otherwise I play GTA V, WoWS, Warframe and a few others. It is also a work machine during the day. video card will be the rtx 3080 asus rog strix if it ever arrives.

@drivinfast247 alright another quick question as I see you are running the 3900x I picked up the 3700x probably the only "weak spot in my rig" is it likely to bottle neck the performance the 3080rtx and 3 monitor setup (one of which will be the 144hz 32" LG. The MB is a ROG Strix 570-E and 128GB of Ram.

Your 3700X is fine with a 3080. It's a 8 cores 16 threads CPU. You're fine.

I'm running a 3700x (PBO on) and 3080 with a 1440p 144Hz monitor. It is a great combination.
