What makes these cards different?

One has a bit higher clock, more speed.

The cheaper one has a factory overclock speed of 1253Mhz and the more expensive one has a facroty overclock speed of 1329Mhz. You could save money by overclocking the cheaper one yourself even more (or just leave it as is) or buy the more expensive pre-overclocked one. Either card is perfectly fine.

The G1 has different fans, can overclock more, is bigger, and costs more.

There's a smallish clock speed difference and the G1 comes with a backplate.

Some people say that the chips on the G1 are better binned, but I can't find any confirmation of this.
