I wonder if control panel will make it into 11. That might seem a visual change but its something they started in 10, nice to actually finish it.
I sure hope so. I like it better than 'Settings' and usually go straight to Control Panel.
Or, if they do want to finally, fully get rid of Control Panel, they need to make Settings a full, finished product. Almost every Settings menu has links that end up in an old CP-style window. Some even take more clicks to get there than just going through Control Panel.

For the past few years I've had to check both when dealing with programs because of 'metro apps' not appearing in the old Control Panel (Programs and Features) sometimes - very annoying!

I feel its likely been reduced even more, this version is all about a new cover on everything so they won't leave Control panel there unless they have to. Win 11 legacy support has to end somewhere. Microsoft have been signalling for all of win 10 that it wanted to remove Control Panel so makes sense to remove it completely in 11... if they can. Some programs will just have to be upgraded.

i don't uninstall that many programs to notice what does or doesn't show.
I like how not all programs I run create a group in start, i have a few apps like that now. I have to go to exploder to run them from there - Driver viewer is one such. Wonder if that feature will continue.
