Hating to pass on anything that is usable AND FREE, I picked up a family cast-off HP DeskJet 970Cxi printer...it is a fine printer, although I have limited need for it.
However, when Windows (XP and Vista) attempt to auto-configure the device, they always recognize it as a 970Cse instead of as a 970Cxi. I always change the driver to match the model that is printed on the product covers, but I can't help being curious about the difference between the two printers.
Does anyone know?
Also, I don't have the Toolbox software that I see referenced on HPs site. Does anyone know where I can get it? It would be nice to see ink levels and such.
TIA...Chuck
