In terms of AMD cards the Radeon 7730 is similar in price and performance. The R7 240 is also close in price but lesser in performance. The R7 250 is a bit more than the GT 730 but out performs it. With cards like these you'll almost never need anything more than 1 GB GDDR5.

youre probably right about the 1gb vs 2gb ram, but it's only a few extra bucks eh.
