What is the fastest and best ram speed to pair with the i7-6700k without overclocking the CPU or the RAM?

What is the fastest and best ram speed to pair with the i7-6700k without overclocking the CPU or the RAM?

I'm planning to put about 3200mhz g.skill 2x16gb ram but will it just overclock the cpu and the ram and generate more heat?

I don't want to have too much heat produced.

3200MHz RAM is already overclocking the RAM
Skylake specifies a RAM speed of 2133 MHz

anyway I wouldn't worry about heat from the RAM too much

With some of the 3000+ speed modules , sometimes a small overclock on the CPU is needed to get it to run at FULL spec.

Hi Isokolon and thank you for the quick reply, I'm planning to have my new rig last for 9 years, is it wiser to just stay on the 2133 Mhz since I don't really max games all the time and only play it at 1080p for more fps, I'm also planning on an rx 480 and buying a new 1080p monitor 144hz with freesync. I could use some knowledge as well if waiting for new technology like the amd polaris or zen would be wiser than buying right now?

YOU CAN USUALLY run 2400 and 2666 without overclocking your CPU.

@blackbird, thanks for the reply, I'm planning on buying a new pc and im just waiting for the release of the next gen graphics cards for the amd polaris and zen in hopes that gpu prices drop.

THE KING OF KINGS FOR DDR 3 IS GSKILL 2400MHZ THERE THE fastest for ddr 3 Ive researched this and that is top of line memory for dd3 . I dont know how they are for ddr 4 After looking at several numbers for weeks the g skills were the best and better than corsairs vengence pro 2440 mhz in latency and bandwith. If ur a serious gamer this is memory to get .

the problem with G.Skill RAM is that they're just BIG
there are not many coolers that can take Ripjaws Vs, not even talking about Trident Zs
but tbf, the difference between CL13-14-14 and CL13-15-15 or CL14-15-15 is pretty minimal

Gskill trident x sticks you can remove the fins so u can fit them under any cpu heatsinks

Im waiting to find bargain sale on them every now and then the price will plummet to 50 or 60 for a 16gb pair.
