What is the ficcerebce between using 2 monitors on a single GPU or 1 monitor on GPU and the other on Motherboard?

So i was wondering what is better. Having 2-3 monitors plugged into a single GPU or having like 1 or 2 monitors plugged into a GPU while another monitor is plugged into the motherboard. Is the monitor plugged into the Motherboard still using the GPU or is it using the Integrated graphics? If so does that mean if i am playing like sayyyyyyy GTAV and than drag it over to the other monitor does that mean i am now using Integrated Graphics to play?

Solution
It's better to plug in all your monitors into a single GPU or GPU array such as SLI or crossfire. And any monitor plugged into the onboard graphics will be run by the onboard graphics. there is no kind of signal pass through.
1. Lower power consumption. You won't need to fire up the onboard graphics for something the dedicated system is already doing.
2. Color consistency. GPU's can render color slightly differently. So having them on a single GPU can reduce the need to have each monitor calibrated.
3. It's necessary for any kind of multi monitor gaming.
4. Less CPU overhead. You won't need to run the onboard and dedicated driver simultaneously.
5. Simplicity. The simpler something is the less there is to go wrong, or to...

Thanks man! Is it possible to use two 1280x1024 monitors as one? it is for my brothers PC. he has enough ports on his GPU also.

You can run any two monitors you want. However you'll only be able to game on one monitor. If the game supports full screen windowed or standard windowed mode you'll be able to move between the game monitor and second monitor without minimizing the game.

But my friend has two 1024x1290 monitors and he makes a game where its on both

Well if you friend can do it, then you may want to get the detail from him. I'm just saying that in general you can't game on just two monitors. If you imaging a fps shooter your aim reticle would be right where the monitors bezels would be. If you have bezel correction enables it would be completely gone. Without bezel correction the reticle would be split. Basically the game would be unusable.

There are exceptions to the rule of course. Of the games I own, Grid Autosport will let you use a 2nd monitor to display track info.

Well you can run any game on dual monitors as long as they are both using the same GPU he said. Now i am not saying it looks good because no it looks liek trash cause you have the big ass bezels between the monitors but it worked with Minecraft, GTAV, and any game that can be played in window mode because all you do id make the game big he said.
