What is the function of BIOS button on top my Sapphire Nitro+ RX 480?

Probably a backup BIOS in case someone flashes it and gets corrrupted, leave it in the default position.

As far as I know, it's so that you can use the card with legacy mobo's that don't have a modern UEFI Bios. Mostly mobo's that from 2009-2013 period when the switch to UEFI on both the motherboard and cards happened.

The BUTTON on TOP of the card changes the LED function.
The BIOS SWITCH on the SIDE of the card can have multiple functions, from being a backup BIOS to changing between legacy/UEFI boot mode to changing from standard to OC Boost mode. It varies from card to card. Consult your manual. (* RTFM)
