What is the INF driver for?

So, today I was looking at drivers for my ASRock board and found that there is no USB 3.0 and Chipset drivers. I only found LAN and Audio drivers. By the way my board is the ASRock h97m-Pro4. Also I found a driver that I have never seen before called the INF driver. Is that supposed to be the Chipset driver for ASRock boards?

Yes, that contains the chipset drivers. It's setup and configuration file used to install drivers.

You can open any .inf file with a text editor, it has some pretty useful stuff inside.

So when I install my drivers, I only have to download the INF driver? Or do I have to download the INF, Audio, and the LAN?

You will need all of them. After you install those and your system is up and running, I suggest using Slimdrivers and updating any driver that it recommends. Many times, the drivers that come on the motherboard disk are outdated, but at least they get you functioning until you can grab the latest ones.

Slimdrivers is best of that kind of programs but it's not infallible, it's known to make errors and download wrong or outdated drivers. Best way is to download newest drivers from manufacturers.

I agree, but if your not familiar with finding, downloading and installing the right drivers, this is probably a safer alternative.

Okay, so things I need to download are the INF, Audio and LAN right? I have a graphics card, but do I really need to download the intel drivers and the APPCharger driver?

The Intel driver is for the onboard graphics, you will also need the graphics card driver. You don't need the App Charger driver unless you have an IPhone you charge via USB.
