What is the interface of this notebook wireless adapter

I bought a DELL XPS15 9530 laptop which comes with Intel AC 7260NGW adapter which I hate with passion

I want to replace it with TP-LINK or Broadcom

now the adapters I see online look different
here is the Intel Intel AC 7260NGW

and here is the other adapter that I like

What is the difference between these two adapters they both should be mini PCIE but they look different

the on on the top is M.2 slot. the bottom is mini pci-e (half height, half and full height only differs in height hence the name, not the socket)

M.2 devices is not compatible with mini pci-e devices v.v.
