Question What is the issue with my system?

Recently as I was on my pc the whole system turned off and smelt similar to smoke, I tried to turn it back on but to no avail, this has happened to me before so I bought a new psu.

The issue I'm having is that after the new psu was installed it turns on for half a second then stops and all that's left is a yellow light on the mobo around the gpu I guess.
Please can someone with actual expertise unlike me help?? Lol

You let the smoke out! Electronics can't work without the smoke.

Seriously though, If there is an indicator light on the mobo you should look into the manual to see what its for.

Look for any blown or swollen electrolytic caps on the mainboard.

Thanks it doesn't say anything in any of the manuals for the solid yellow light which is
Did you change out the psu cables for the new ones or continue using the old ones?
I got an entirely new psu, not modular so new cables

Are all the capacitors on the MB ok? No blown out caps or anything like that? If you smelt smoke or burning I’d look at that.
