What is the main "component" especially for streaming.

I'm confused here.. I see alot of people running a GTX 970 with i7 3770K but when I stream on my friends house\ he streams he starts stuttering\lagging when he streams.

He uses OBS. anyways, what's more important in streaming? The GPU? or the CPU? or idk??

The CPU. I tried streaming with a weak dual core A6 just to see what it would be like. Absolutely terrible. Internet speed is also a factor.

Hard drives have little to do with this. Ur not actively writing or reading anything. Ur processing information (CPU power with multi tasking, hence more cores) and giving it to the internet (internet speed)
