I am only 16 and I dont really have the money for a gaming pc at the moment so I was going to upgrade this one and I am running 4gb ram on my current pc the advent q6600 what is the max ram I can put in?

Solution
The only upgrade that makes sense likely is the best Video Card you can afford since I'm guessing you want to upgrade to play some games.

If so, and you do have 32-bit Windows (likely XP 32-bit) do NOT get a video card with more than 1GB of Video RAM. The reason is that you can only address 4GB and that includes your System RAM (DDR2 likely) as well as your Video RAM. So if you got a 2GB card you'd only be able to access about 1.8GB of the physically installed 4GB. If it's 64-bit ignore this (unless Vista in which case get an NVidia card since AMD dropped support for Vista).

Your best bet is to spend about $100 on an HD7770 or GTX650.
