I would like to know what psu I would need for the i7 2600 3.4 (non k).

PC Specification:

CPU: i7 2600 3.4 (non k)

GPU: I have no GPU and I am planning to get the 1060 6g

RAM: DDR3 1333 mhz ( dual channel sticks)

STORAGE: 2 tb hdd

PSU: I currently have no idea what PSU i have

Nvidia recommends 400w for the 1060. Go for 450w or 550w in Seasonic Core series, Corsair CX gray for example, depending on budget. List of psu's in my sig, something from Tier A or B.

Newegg has the EVGA supernove 650 GM for 90

The I7 2600 is a great chip!! I had one for years.

450w is ok.
I have no problem overprovisioning a PSU a bit. Say by 20%.
It will allow for a stronger future graphics card upgrade.
It will run cooler, quieter, and more efficiently in the middle third of it's range.
A PSU will only use the wattage demanded of it, regardless of it's max capability.

Quality counts.
