In the memory specifications, the max memory size is 128gb. Does that mean my system supports upto 128gb RAM?

The CPU (more specifically, the built-in MCC) can reference up to 128GB of Memory, yes. Any more than that and your CPU would pretend it's not there.

CPU supports up to 128GB.
Motherboard of your laptop will not have enough ram slots for that. It will support less.
Check specs of your laptop.

Oh thanks a lot folks, so I checked RAM capacity in cmd using the command "wmic memphysical get maxcapacity" and its showing 32gb. So I guess that is the real maximum capacity.

Go here and run the scanner it will show the ram support amount.
