What is the minimum graphics card to run demanding games well?

I am looking to buy a gaming PC and I don't want to go over 800$ I found a deal with an AMD R9 255 graphics card. I want to know if this will run games like Battlefield or Farcry 4 At medium to high settings? Also,If it the AMD R9 255 isnt good enough what is the minimum card to run games on medium to high settings?

I would say that the mid range cards are about at that level.

I would say that it will be simply OK. It is an inexpensive baseline PC. Pre-built systems like this one usually have the cheapest components available to reach that price. I would probably skip it and build your own system.

It will be a better system all around. You can upgrade the build to the same processor for little extra cost.
