I bought one of these at Best Buy a couple years back, but it wasn't a "MK.2."

Today, they have one for $90 and the "MK.2" for $130.

Via Google, I've not been able to learn where the difference lies. Can someone out there clue me in?

I have read about key caps breaking and Windows key problems. What gives with that? Those things shouldn't be happening at that price point!

The MK.2 has an updated design and includes the volume wheel, media keys and a couple of additional extra function keys (changing profiles, etc). The platform is actually based on the K95 platform.

As for key caps breaking ... I've seen a couple of cases of that, yes, but considering how many of these Corsair sells, I don't think it's extreme. Keep in mind that looking on the forums will show more failures than happy consumers - happy users don't usually whine on the forums. That said, should that happen, Corsair is usually pretty good about fulfilling the RMA.
