The original owner picked up a bad virus and took the hard drive out and threw it away than later gave me the laptop with out a hard drive. I would like to put a new one in because it is just like new.
I had trouble trying to put a Western digital in place of a Quantum in a Compaq once because the installation CD would not recognize it. So to prevent this problem I would like to purchase original equipment for it.

A lot of specific parts or driver questions posted around here are far better solved by googling, rather than posting them here. Google will tell you PSAG0U-01800M isn't the model, it's Toshiba's part number. The model you're referring to is the A305-S6837 and with that, you can more easily search for compatible drives.
