What is the Part Number for Dell Latitude Power Connector?

I am trying to discover the part number of the coaxial power connector that is inside my recent Dell latitude laptop computer. What I am really trying to do is to build an extender cable that will extend the distance that I can place the laptop from its power brick. It is not possible for me to relocate either the laptop or the brick, due to mounting considerations. I will ultimately need to buy the “male” and “female” connectors to build an extender. If there is a commercially available extender available, that is fine too. Seems so easy, but I cant find that information anywhere on the web. The connector like what is found on the end of the PSU cable that plugs into the laptop is 7.4mm Outer diameter and 5.1mm inside diameter, with a male pin of apx 20 gauge (cant measure it). I believe that it is the same as used in most recent Dell Latitude laptops (all?)

[edit] On second thoughts maybe it will be a better idea to just cut the cable and use another identical gauge wire to extend it.
