What is the Power Consumption of 4X 4GB = 16GB 1600Mhz Corsiar Vengeance Memories?

Hi guys, I would like to know this because I've heard that 8GB use between 200 W and 300 W and I really doubt it, if it is so then I have to buy another power supply because mine is 850 W (corsair AX 850) and I'm thinking about buying an Nvidia GTX 780 gygabyte that uses 375 W so if I calculate that plus those let's say 300 W from the memories is already 675 W plus the Intel i7 3820 (Max. 184W), asus sabertooth X79 mother board (? W ?), asus xonar D1 audio card (? W ?), corsair H100i water cooling (9W), SSD Samsung 250GB (1W), it will result in 869+ Watts, thank you guys. Have a nice rest of week-end.

whoever told you that has no clue 😛 Memory Wattage is arround 4W/4GB DDR3 module... So 8GB Ram consumes arround 8W.

DRAM is a minor draw, in the vicinity of up to 4 watts per stick

A system with a single GTX780 calls for 575watt PSU http://www.realhardtechx.com/index_archivos/Page362.htm and that number is higher than actual consumption.
You can run 2 x GTX780 in SLI on your current PSU!!!!

As far as I know each module of RAM only uses 5w. So if it's 4 modules, then you will only be consuming 20w.

The results of our test were very curious. According to our results, there are more factors that lead to overall system power consumption than simply DRAM voltage as set in the BIOS. The Crucial Ballistix kit, which runs at the highest operating voltage, actually demonstrated the lowest power usage at idle, 185W. The Vengeance LP kit resulted in a system draw of 187W, which was better than the Vengeance 1.5v kit, which pulled 192W, the highest in our testing.

As the system load increased, however, the lower voltage of the other kits began to manifest a power savings. Under Folding@Home, the Vengeance LP kit drew 1 watt less than the 1.65v Ballistix kit and 6 watts less than the 1.5v Vengeance kit.

Under memtest, our results were as we expected. The 1.65v Ballistix drew the most power, followed by the Vengeance 1.5v kit, with the Vengeance LP drawing only 286W. This translates into a savings of 12W and 9W, respectively. In an area with a relatively high cost of electricity, this could translate into a savings of about $1 per month, but only if the system was under heavy use 24/7.
