Pretty good advice. Intel's max recommended voltage is 1.52 volts, but with any kind of conventional cooling, you will reach thermal limits before that.
Keep in mind that most OC guides say to turn off EIST, in which case your CPU will not throttle back during idle. I recommend turning off EIST, work out your OC settings, then turn it back on.
I also recommend going into the PC Health section of the BIOS and setting the thermal alarm for 70 C.
