i have

Gigabyte GA-MA785G Motherboard
AMD Athlon II X2 240 AM3 Regor 2.8ghz
Corsair DDR2 800 MHZ Ram Gaming Ram With Heatsink

Currently im Overclocking @ 14x215 3010 GHZ

Reference Clock FSB 215.050 MHZ
FSB Frequency 430.99 DDR MHZ
Core Frequency 3010.694 MHZ
Multiplier 14.0x

Cpu Temp is 38c - Fan 1885 RPM
System is 34c

Voltage

CPU -1.488V
DRAM -1.952V
+3.3V -3.312V
+12V -12.302V

i want to get to about 3.2 - 3.4ghz but im afraid of the ram, NB, CPU having issues or possibly going out. i dont know too much about overclocking but id like the extra bit of performance.

You'll be wanting to look up guides on overclocking then. You'll also want to make sure you test for stability along the way, keep an eye on your temperatures and increment the base clock up slowly. Test ram stability with memtest86 and cpu stability with prime95.
Just a note, that CPU voltage seems a bit high to me. Did you up the voltage in the bios? You probably didn't need to. I have my quad core athlon at 3.25GHz at only the stock voltage.

nope thats the default on the bios. the only thing i changed in the bios was the reference clock from 200 to 215. everything else is factory after i updated the bios.

Well, you could probably get it to 3.4GHz on stock voltage. Try it out. Change the reference clock to 245. See if it boots into windows. Corsair is good ram. It will probably be able to run at 980MHz without being unstable. Check the CPU with prime95 for errors for 8 hours and if successful boot from a memtest86 disc and run memtest for a few hours. You'll want to check your core temperature on load and you do not want it higher than 60C. 50C or lower is preferable.

ok i upped it to 229x14. 3.2ghz. on load with prime 95 it went up to 53c after passing 4 different tests. ill test it overnight tonight. going to do memtest right now. as soon as i stopped the prime95 stress test it went back to 30-31c in hw monitor right now. my system temp never left 34-36c. thanks for all the help. without asking i would have messed something up.
