What is the total power consumption of my pc

I have a prebuilt pc and just wanted to know. specs below


HP Compaq 500B MT stock motherboard,case fan,and cpu fan
Intel pentium E6500
WD 120 GB HDD
2 Sticks of samsung 2gb ddr3 ram
AMD Radeon r5 240
All running with a EVGA 500w PSU. Also how mush power is allocated to the pcie x16 slot

The maximum power draw from a PCIe slot is 75w. The total power consumption of that system under full load is less than 300w, maybe closer to 200w.

100-125W while gaming. No offense, but that system is old and low end.

Assuming it's a normal board, 75W. There are some lower end boards that limit it to 35W. You have a prebuilt so hard to say.

Look at the manual for your board or tower. If it does have a 35W limit it should say somewhere. If it doesn't it should be 75W. What makes you ask?

Get a Kill-A-Watt and plug it in and see for yourself.

trying to get a card a llittle bit better than the r5 240

The problem is you have a 10yr+ old CPU. Anything better is going to be held back by your older system, including your 4GB of ram. You can put the newer GPU in all you want, it's going to hit a wall with that slow dual core and 4GB of ram. I would honestly just keep using what you have until you can upgrade everything.
