Inside the Users folder that is directly under the C drive there is a folder/user called "ADMINI~1"... does anyone know why that is there or what it is from? I can't seem to find any info by searching online for that specific folder name (with the tilde symbol). The other two user folders are just my own and then a "public" one, so there are three total.

Inside the mystery ADMINI~1 user folder, there are the following subfolders:
AppData>
Local>
Temp>
WMZuneComm.etl.001
WMZuneComm.etl.003
WMZuneComm.etl.004
WMZuneComm.etl.005

That is all that is in the folder (just those 4 files which are only 4KB each) and I made sure hidden files and folders were visible at the time and there aren't any.

I've heard of Zune before, but I don't use it (never have). I did buy this PC from Costco with the OS and some other things already installed, but if Zune ever was on it, I would have uninstalled it. I honestly don't remember if it ever was, but it's definitely not now (not in the list of programs).

Thanks in advance for any info about this ADMINI~1 user folder. :)

Thanks! The link says it could be caused "by the Copy logs process not fully cleaning up." I'm not sure what that means, do you know?

I did some more looking (I must have searched for the wrong thing before) and read this: http://www.windows-noob.com/forums/index.php?/topic/5875-cusersadmini1-profile-after-xp-win7-migration/

So is it because when I got this computer, I retrieved/copied all my files from a "My Book" external hard drive which was previously hooked up to my old computer running Vista? This new computer is Windows 7. Is that what they mean by "copy logs"?

I'm only moderately experienced with computers, so I apologize if that is totally wrong, haha

Oh, maybe that is it. On this computer, I had a "My Book Essential" external hard drive (automatic back-up) hooked up and it uses WD SmartWare program... hard drive was getting old and I wanted to replace it so I wiped it/reformatted it... which would have momentarily left the SmartWare program still on my computer without anything to copy to.

But I uninstalled the SmartWare program right after I wiped the drive. And now I have a fresh My Book hooked up and I reinstalled the same SmartWare for it.

Do you think that ADMINI~1 user is just a remnant of that and I can just delete it? I want to but I don't want to break anything, especially if the ADMINI~1 is there because of something else unrelated. I can't remember if that user folder was there before I did the external drive wipe - if it was, then it must have been from something else.

(P.S. I hope this doesn't post twice... the 1st screen froze or something so I submitted it again.)

It has a total of 16 KB - http://i.imgur.com/8uavsbi.jpg - because of those four weird files that are 4 KB a piece. (The ones listed in my original post.)

Edit: I just realized there's a creation date of July 13, 2012... so that is years before I did the external hard drive wiping. That is close to when I very first bought the computer, so maybe it really was from when I retrieved all my old files from an external hard drive.

Ok, thanks for your time! So I think I will just see what happens if I delete them (hopefully nothing). I don't have Zune installed, so I don't think anything on my computer would need to access those for any reason.
