Good morning,

I'm employed as tech lead of an education lab in a Italian High School and I'm facing atrouble in finding the right driver for the audio device of your motherboard.

I've downloaded and attempted to install the driver available on the web page of the motherboard: https://www.asrock.com/mb/intel/g31m-gs but it did'nt work; the audio it isn't recognized. More, I've downloaded the driver from the audio manufacturer but nothing the audio device isn't found on Windows 7 32 bit.
May you help me to fix this issue in order to give the multimedia laboratory the possibility to work as expected?

Thank you.

I've cleared the CMOS by removing the battery of the POST but the issue is still there.
Yes it seems that the driver of the controlle is not recognized and installed; (after my attempts) the error code is 20.

I've found that my earphones works if I plug them on the rear panel of the chassis not on the front panel!
I wonder if an BIOS upgrade may fix it: https://www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/G31M-GS/index.it.asp#BIOS
The point is that the OS is at Windows 7 professional 32 bit!
I wonder what may happen if I attempt to update with one of the available version of the official website.
Thank you.

Ok, I've found that an audio card is already installed; it isn't recognized and don't work.
After having uninstalled it from its PCI slot, and havinf installed the Windows 7 32 bit driver, the integrated audio card starts working.
I wonder if there is a way to enable the working of the integrated aaudio card wirhout uninstalling it from the PCI.
I attempted to uninstall the Hercules driver but it didn't solve.
I tried to to disable the PCI in the BIOS with no use.
Thank you.
