What is this cable in my motherboard?

Hello, i have a prebuilt system that i bought 2 years ago back when i was in a complete noob. I brought the system to a pretty good working condition and i am saving money right now to build my own rig next christmas. So in my MB under the GPU near the CMOS there is this weird cable. First i thought it was a Motherboard jumper but it didnt make sense to put in a jumper when i have a working power button. So i decided to ask you guys on the forum. PS: I mean the thingy with the hot glue not the sata cable

It's the speaker (diagnosis for post issues)

Top row (red/black) is the piezo speaker. That's what bleeps when you turn on the pc etc. Under that is the motherboard/case wiring like power, led, hdd etc. To the right is 2x Sata cables.

Thanks for the answers. I also just realised they plugged my Sata 3 drive in to the 3GB sata slot in my motherboard...

That's a common issue/mistake

Eww. Optical drives are fine in 3Gb, as are secondary drives/data storage but main OS drives should be in the fastest available, 6Gb.
