What is this disk is write protected

Hello,
when i formate my micro sd card my window is saying this disk is write protected

Are you using an adapter so that you can plug the micro SD card into a standard SD card reader? If so, does the adapter have a write protect switch? If so, make sure to slide the switch so that it's as close as possible to the end of the adapter that has the metal contacts.
