OK so i hear people talk about playing Play Station games on PC by using these emulators, i have been a long time fan of Sly Cooper series and i want to play Sly Cooper Thieves in time.

How do i go about playing this game, is it legal (i assume not) and will it give my PC a virus.

I take it from your OP that you don't own a PlayStation. This means that you can't get a legal copy of the PlayStation ROM chip. So, within the terms of this forum, it can't be done.

As you assume it is not legal (correctly) it's not something that we can discuss.
The emulator itself, is just software and is legal. Where the grey area falls into play is the emulators usually need a copy of an original systems BIOS to play the games. This is the tricky part, because legally, you would have to open your system and solder a bunch of stuff to dump the BIOS of the system you own. You would also need a original copy of the disc to put in your PC's CD/DVD drive for the game to play.

Tom's doesn't support any "where can I download the game for free and get a BIOS file" so don't ask.

OK, assuming i would be willing to buy the game, i don't mind spending money on it.
