What is this PCIe SATA adapter?

I think that allows you to connect a now obselete version of sata from the Pci adapter to your Hard Drive. Since we use Sata III I don't think its really what you need But maybe your HDD uses that type of cable?

Huh. I can't find any reference to an obsolete SATA version. That connector looks just like the connector on the back of an SATA drive. But not like the connector that's usually on an SATA controller card or on a motherboard.

Im not sure what im referring to. Its like a flat sorta long cable that storage devices used to use.
