i am building a budget gaming rig.
i have found ram that is 3x less the price of any used gaming ram, but im not sure if its suitable..
the listing says "2Rx8 PC-3-12800U-11-12-B1" its samsung brand with a lenovo sticker on it.
I can't read the model name, but i can read the end of it and it says CK0 where it usually says CL9/11.

googling doesn't give me any info to go on, but does return a lot of results for laptop ram sales.

is this just OEM ram of some sort, and should work no less than anything else?
i'd rather have 32gb of this than 16gb of branded ram if its only a few fps difference.

Double sided or single sinded won't make any issue unless you already has a memory stick which single sided and pairs it with a double sided one will cause compaibility issue but in your case you seems putting up a gaming rig so i will suggest you to go for the double sided ones !

It will work fine as the cl one and no u won't see any drops in frames by going with these ..
A similar problem was solved in this forum :- http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-1722287/ram-1333-1600-cl8-cl9-cl11.html
But at the end of the day i will suggest to go with the branded cause they tend to lasta little longer gives more compaitability and also has great customer supports plus also covers your warranty which on the other hand the one u stated won't do !

I really wanted to know what ck0 means. not sure how 1333/1600mhz speeds are relevant. its clearly 1600mhz ram.

i hardly think getting 16gb brand name ram is better than 32gb of same? spec ram. but thats why im asking. i need a clear answer.
what is this ram for? what does ck0 mean? and will it run in a gaming rig no different to CL9 ram?
